Job Summary

AECOM’s Greenville, South Carolina office is actively seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Manager, Industrial Land Development professional to join our successful team! This position offers an immediate leadership role, with nearly unlimited potential for future advancement. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile and challenging projects both locally and throughout the Carolinas. The diverse and challenging array of projects will involve coordination and collaboration with AECOM offices throughout the Carolinas and beyond.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively participate in the execution of municipal and government infrastructure and civil engineering projects, as well as water/wastewater distribution projects and civil/site land development projects

  • Provide technical and design services in support of infrastructure projects

  • Evaluate requirements and prepare bids and proposals

  • Conduct preliminary evaluations

  • Produce design drawings

  • Prepare technical specifications

  • Prepare permit submittals

  • Provide bid services and construction monitoring

  • Mentor and direct project staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering degree

  • 10+ years of direct and progressive experience in civil engineering and site design

  • PE in the state of South Carolina or ability to transfer to South Carolina quickly

  • Must be local to the Greenville, South Carolina office location as relocation packages are not offered for this career opportunity.

  • Must be able to evaluate requirements and prepare bids and proposals, conduct preliminary evaluations, produce design drawings, prepare technical specifications, prepare permit submittals, and assist in providing bid services and construction monitoring

  • Demonstrated experience in obtaining required construction permits, including one or more of the following; sedimentation and erosion control, stormwater, and water/wastewater

  • Must be able to work with and effectively coordinate staff in multiple office locations

  • Effective time-management, written communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledgeable in specific requirements affecting coastal communities in NC and SC

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience of direct and progressive experience in civil engineering and site design

  • Master's Degree
