Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Mid-Level ITS Engineer for immediate employment. Incumbent will join the Transportation Division as part of our Pennsylvania operations. Candidate may be located in any one of our Pennsylvania Offices (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Conshohocken, or Mechanicsburg). Advancement opportunities are available to those candidates who show initiative and firm understanding of design concepts and leadership skills.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop planning documents and magnitude of cost estimates for ITS projects

  • Develop and evaluate communication system plans, including both wired and wireless solutions

  • Perform and document operations field device and system testing

  • Prepare ITS design plans, project special provisions and cost estimates

  • Actively engage in building client relationships in pursuing and winning projects

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience

  • PE Licensed

  • Ability to analyze data impacting the need for ITS equipment deployment

  • Must be self-motivated with a desire to work on a broad range of transportation projects

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

  • Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position, must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior design experience with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and/or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission
