AECOM is seeking a Payroll Manager professional to manage a payroll team and tasks within the ADP Enterprise and Oracle platforms. This individual will join a fast pace environment, with focus on accurate and timely processing.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage Biweekly and Weekly multi-state payrolls, with ADP, for approx 20,000 employees

  • Oversees Weekly Oracle Processing, related to the submission and collections of Timecards

  • Ensure the processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations are accurate and timely

  • Manage and direct Payroll Specialists

  • Review and analyze current payroll and tax procedures, in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations

  • Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect current employee data, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time

  • Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports

  • Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and/or updating policies and procedures

  • Handle escalated payroll inquires/requests

  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential

  • Involvement with Payroll projects as necessary

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

  • 8+ years of experience in multi-state payroll processing

  • Prior experience successfully managing a payroll department

  • Knowledge of ADP payroll application

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Access, Word)

  • Working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state and local levels

  • Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all information handled

  • Motivated individual and team player is essential

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills

  • Ability to meet firm deadlines

  • Works well under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle knowledge a plus

  • CPP Certification required
