Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and driven Business Analyst for immediate employment in the Glen Allen, VA office. This Business Analyst role reports to the Senior Manager on the Global Business Services (GBS)continuous improvement team. The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to help lead revenue generation, efficiency introduction and expense reduction activities for DCS Americas including but not limited to the growth of the disbursement programs. This position is also responsible for driving continuous business improvement efforts for the GBS process towers and financial shared service delivery.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead outreach and user adoption initiatives for the purchase card program aimed to reduce purchase order creation & administrative burden, maximize vendor rebate potential and substantially increase enterprise awareness regarding program benefits

  • Manage direct pay banking program to encourage vendor adoption for expedited payment and rebate opportunities. Research and analyze program structures to determine best return on time investment and corporate benefits

  • Lead other efficiency and process programs and analyze critical data to move positively

  • Review vendor and internal company proposals to assess organizational/corporate impact & develop business case presentations with requirements, risks, process changes and detailed investment payback period analysis

  • Create status reports and present materials to management for review/approval including decisions made and issues encountered – this should occur throughout the project timeline

  • Identify and solve potential problems and evaluate GBS opportunities and effectiveness

  • Establish communication schedules and plans to update stakeholders on various project tasks including project risks, financial updates, and training and communication plans

  • Manage relationships with internal business groups responsible for strategies, process consolidations, process improvements, system developments/implementations, and value added initiatives (i.e. Operations, Procurement, IT)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in an enterprise shared service or comparable environment

  • Experience with purchase card programs, procurement or financial operations management

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management or service delivery management certification(s)
