Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Program Manager for immediate employment in the Germantown, MD office. Work will be performed remotely at project locations. This is a part-time variable position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Assess disaster-related damages to public infrastructure, develop scopes of work to restore the facility, and prepare a cost estimate for the work to be performed

  • Confirm that the identified damages and proposed scope of work comply with local and national codes and standards

  • Work directly with applicants requesting support from government disaster relief program and managing the status of their grant development

  • Supporting disaster recovery efforts for disaster-damaged public infrastructure

  • Other contract and program management tasks

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10+ years or more in professional roles involving inspection, documentation and field administration of highways, bridges, utilities and other public works infrastructure projects

  • Must be able to demonstrate an established career in Environmental Engineering, including experience with design, cost estimating, construction management and maintenance, and restoration of public infrastructure, including roads, buildings, wastewater treatment plants, and other facilities

  • Must be able to apply federal laws, regulations, and policies to assess eligibility of requested funding for restoration of disaster-damaged public infrastructure

  • Ability to travel to disaster sites for 6 months or more

  • Ability to work professionally in the client’s office

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years or more in professional roles involving inspection, documentation and field administration of highways, bridges, utilities and other public works infrastructure projects

  • PMP preferred
