About the Business Line


We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented GeoWeb Developer for immediate employment. The successful candidate will support the Technology Solutions Department in planning, developing and maintaining customer-specific Geoweb projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Translate and develop final application prototypes into production-ready code

  • Provide front end development skills along with technical expertise to work on all application tiers

  • Develop dynamic Geoweb solutions that incorporate a wide variety of APIs

  • Collaborate with internal and external customers to provide best solution for given requirement while considering budget and time constraints

  • Research and suggest new technologies that could benefit the team

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in GIS web development including, ESRI and open source toolsets (Leaflet, MapBox etc.)

  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases including SQLServer and PostGIS/PostGreSQL

  • Proficient in .NET, C#, HTML and Python

  • Experience with JavaScript libraries and other open source frameworks

  • Demonstrated experience with source control solutions including Git and collaboration toolkits including Jira

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Successful candidate must be a team player, committed to meeting team and client schedules, and able to work productively on several high profile projects at once.

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of ArcSDE and ArcGIS servers

  • Familiarity with the design and development of geodatabases
