About the Business Line

Water

We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Geospatial Data Technician for immediate employment in our Germantown, MD office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • ​Devlop functional workflows for geospatial data processing

  • Provide quality oversight of geospatial technical staff

  • Work independently and with a team on geospatial data projects that include but are not limited to LiDAR and orthophotography

  • Ensure all data meets customers expectations for quality​

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience

  • ​Extensive experience in the identification of orthophotography errors and corrective action

  • Working knowledge of all facets of LiDAR and orthophotography production

  • Ability to develop customized scripts to streamline existing workflows

  • Experience with LP360 and ESRI product suite

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of Python

  • Extensive Adobe Photoshop experience required

  • SCI Eligible

  • US citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SocetSet, Erdas Imagine, Microstation, and LizardTech MrSID
