The Chief of Party (COP) on Palestine Renewable Energy Program (PREP) will be responsible for the overall management and administration of all components under the PREP TO. Major responsibilities include:
(i) Primary project point of contact for all stakeholders, Donors, USG, private sector entities, IFC representatives, and other key stakeholders as further elaborated under section C of the RFTOP;
(ii) Technical leadership and supervision of staff and consultants;
(iii) Quality control and timely delivery of outputs;
(iv) Supervision of the preparation of work plans, progress reports, financial reports, logistics, and other documents; (v) and primary liaison with USAID through USAID’s Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
The COP must have the following minimum required qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or a higher degree in law, environmental management, economics, energy-related engineering, energy policy, finance and/or other related fields.
Significant years of professional experience in the implementation of clean energy or energy sector reform development projects.
Proven leadership in the management of similar size of international donor support programs with skills in strategic planning, management, supervision and budgeting.
Demonstrated experience in working with senior government officials, private sector leaders, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated skills in building, mobilizing, and leading multi-disciplinary team tasks in complex environments.
Business proficiency, written and spoken, in English.
