The PM/CM Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Controls Specialist for immediate employment in the Atlanta, GA office. The Controls Specialist for the K-12 CIP Program will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of all projects, studies, initiatives and deliverables assigned to the AECOM Program Management Team. This position is contingent upon award of contract.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Reports to the Controls Manager / Sr. Project Managers / Field Managers
Direct management of project controls/ reporting
Responsible for expediting financial transactions within established processing guidelines
Operate, maintain, and update information in Trimble Prolog Project Management Information System under the supervision of the Document Controls Lead.
Perform Certified Payroll tracking and verification
Assist in project document flow/tracking process
Write and maintain project Meeting Minutes for team and project distribution
Responsible for oversight and compliance monitoring of project, and shared drive site and all related digital documentation standards and related processes and procedures
Attend weekly progress meetings with contractors, designers and resident engineers on critical aspects of the projects
Create workflows, forms and reports in the Constructware document management software as per NYCTA requirements
Keep record of all letters, submittals, request for information, noncompliance notices and daily reports in the Constructware software
Assist the Project Controls Manager in special projects as necessary
Ensure contract requirements are executed at a level equal to or higher than stated standards and shall strive for complete customer satisfaction with all customers
Establish and maintain effective customer relationships with the goal of maintaining a mutually beneficial business relationship with the District
Accountable for the management, administration, technical correctness, timeliness, and quality of services and products provided under this CIP Program
Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or other related field
10+ years of experience managing all aspects of building operations on contracts of similar size and scope
Prior K12 experience
Highly motivated self-starter
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
This position requires a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
Industry recognized certification in Program Management or Facility Management
Progressive Experience in construction design and development, preferably K-12, of which shall include five (5) years of experience of direct management of project managers/ project delivery/ project delivery/ project controls and reporting
Possess highly developed interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills
Demonstrate the ability to manage in a diverse and dynamic environment with short-notice tasking under high pressure situations
