Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Mechanic III CH-47 Hanger Lead for a position in Ft. Campbell, KY. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the CH-47 Reset team, including personnel and multiple projects. This position will constantly establish and monitor projects and workflows and prepare status reports. Supervises and provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing aircraft and subsystem maintenance and evaluates maintenance operations and facilities for compliance. Develop and maintain production management plans, manage resources, define objectives for maintenance team, and facilitate production meetings, as necessary. Assess project issues and formulate resolutions to meet quality, productivity, and cost metrics. Ensure compliance with ground operating procedures, customer directives, and ES&H requirements. Brief customer and senior leadership on production status, planning, risk, and schedule recovery. Deliver successful results by overseeing technical staff and taking an active role in project completion through effective goal setting. Oversee training program within assigned work center and provide both general and technical training, as required. Interpret directives, manuals, and procedures affecting aircraft, vehicle, and equipment records and take appropriate actions required by the maintenance management system. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent and seven (7) years actual and recent experience in aviation maintenance is required. bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired.

  • Understand the importance of plans and schedules and have the ability to manage multiple projects as well as formulate and execute recovery plans.

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and formal presentation skills, including the ability to interface at all levels and with multiple departments.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.

  • Ability to develop and maintain required relationships with customers and all technical staff.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.

  • Experience with Reset is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CH-47 series aircraft preferred.

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years managing/supervising personnel is desired.
