About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Aircraft Mechanic I UH-60 Electrician for a position in Ft. Campbell, KY. Perform installation of electrical system components including such systems as flight, navigation, instrumentation, etc. Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services. Perform scheduled inspections and assists in performing special inspections. Perform maintenance operational checks on aircraft electrical and navigation systems using special tools and test equipment as required. Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals, Maintenance Information and Action Messages and all technical guidance provided through government official representatives.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
5 years desired, 3 years required Aviation experience required on UH-60L/M.
Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component and electrical troubleshooting, repair procedures, and replacement of parts.
Must have basic knowledge of electrical theory and ability to read/comprehend wiring schematics used in troubleshooting system errors.
Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools, such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, volt-ohm meters, crimp dies, and test sets.
Must have a working knowledge of technical publications and the Army's Aviation Logistics Information System, ULLS-A (E).
Understanding of Reset schedules and timelines is a plus.
Able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
