Position Title Aircraft Inspector III

AECOM is looking for Aircraft Inspector for a position in Ft. Campbell, KY. Will work under the URS Quality Assurance department conducting Technical Inspection on AH-64, H-60, and H-47 aircraft and components. Inspect incoming contract units, forms and records and make applicable entries for receiving into work process. Provide continued surveillance inspection of all in process work. Implement quality control/safety programs to ensure compliance with contract specifications and local procedures. Inspect/verify proper completion and documentation of safety and flight discrepancies. Evaluate personnel, including verification of skills, training and experience. Perform audits and inspections of work centers and ongoing maintenance actions, procedures, equipment and facilities. Monitor currency and applicability of maintenance technical data and technical library. Review maintenance source documents and inspection records. Note recurring discrepancies or trends and initiate appropriate action. Produce/review quality/technical deficiency reports; ensuring that reports are accurate, clear, concise and comprehensive. Conduct aircraft weight and balance tasks. Conduct safety inspections, training and drills. Inspect incoming material for compliance with the purchase order or contract standard requirements, quantity and condition. Depending on position selected, may require up to 75 percent travel away from home station.
Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or aviation maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued A&P license.
Candidate must have minimum five years’ experience as an inspector or hold a current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) and at least 1 year of experience on H-60, H-47 and/or AH-64 aircraft required.
Must have knowledge of the scopes and limitations of various categories of maintenance and their application to the contract unit.
Must be able to perform complete technical inspection of contract units and be able to determine that completed installations/repairs comply with standards described in applicable publications.
Must be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical examination requirements related to performing daily assigned tasks.
Must be capable of reading, interpreting and using complex blueprints, schematic diagrams and data tables.
Must have experience in the use of the Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A (E).
Must have computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
High School graduate or equivalent.
Ability to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
