Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Swamper to be based in our Fort McMurray, Alberta location.

This position will Assist skilled trades people and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites.

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Ask required questions and take the required direction assure that work is accomplished safely.

  • Understand and follow AECOM's safety management system and core values.

  • Maintain all AECOM's tools and equipment to the required standards.

  • Participate fully in such things as job observations, near miss and HID reporting, site inspections, weekly and monthly safety meetings, and tailgate meetings.

  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards.

  • Ensure that all training is kept current.

  • Understand and utilize the right and responsibility to stop unsafe work.

  • Camp accommodations are available for this position.

This is a camp and 14-14 shift position.

This position will be required to drive a vehicle on behalf of AECOM and therefore will require the candidate to submit a satisfactory driver's abstract for review.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent.

A valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are requirements of this position

Fall Arrest and/or Fall Protection (OSSA issued ticket) Certification required

H2S Alive Certification

Preferred Qualifications

3-12 months of work experience on combo unit, vac truck, pressure truck would be considered an asset.

Additional Information:

High pressure, dump gun, working under supplied air, general vac/combo labourer experience is required.
