Position Title LEAD PLANNER, Maintenance

FT Services has been acquired by AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm . We are seeking a Lead Planner to join our maintenance team at our IOL Kearl location.
The responsibilities of the position include:
Develop and implement approved schedule baselines.
Monitor project plans and performance.
Perform Resource Levelling
Conduct project schedule analysis, critical path analysis and schedule risk analysis
Proactively identify schedule trends on a variety of projects.
Analyze deviations from the baseline in the Project Master schedule highlighting bottlenecks / delays and proposecorrective actions.
Analyze and highlight the overall schedule impact of any variance / change order.
For approved active projects, with input from the Project Manager and Project Engineers, be responsible for implementing approved work breakdown structure, time and resource schedules, implementing and monitoring the schedule, identifying trends and recommending corrective action to be taken as required.
Report progress for active projects against schedule and resource allocation to the Project Manager and others as directed by the Project Manager.
Recommend to the Project Manager modifications to the project organization that will promote functional and efficient execution of the project.
Ensure that approved schedules are issued in a timely manner in accordance with procedures.
Manage the collection of progress data by disciplines.
Identify specific, special needs or tasks to be actioned and recommend the persons required to carry out the work.
Minimum 10 years planning and/or supervision in a Heavy Industry, including a minimum of five years’ experience in Turnaround planning.
Hands on SAP R3 Plant Maintenance or other CMMS system experience.
Experience on large-scale Engineering and/or Construction projects
Competence with planning systems (SAP, MS Project, MS Excel)
Primavera experience, with Primavera 6 being an asset.
Ability to read and understand Design Drawings.
Ability to read and understand MTO’s
High level of computer skills, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication abilities
Strong leadership and people skills which translates into the ability to effectively work independently and with a team
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to liaise at all levels with Client and project team members.
Demonstrated commitment to the success of teams and the organization
Reliable, self-organized, self-starting, and self-improving
A relevant Journeyman qualification
Degree/Diploma in Engineering from a recognized educational institute is desirable
