Job Summary

FT Services has been acquired by AECOM, a premier, fully integrated global infrastructure firm.

We are currently seeking Journeyman Insulators for our CNRL Horizon Project in Northern Alberta.

May include the following responsibilities:

  • Apply, remove, and repair thermal and acoustic insulation

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements

  • Estimate material requirements for jobs

  • Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation (e.g., spraying, pin welding, wiring, pasting, strapping, taping) according to the type and shape of surface, whether or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for

  • Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimension

  • Fit insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings

  • Install vapour barriers and finish insulated surfaces by applying metal cladding, canvas, plastic sheeting or cement

  • Apply, remove and repair insulation on all types of equipment

  • Inventory materials

Minimum Requirements

Alberta Certified Journeyman Insulator or Inter-Provincial Red Seal Construction Safety Training System Ticket (CSTS-09) OSSA Fall Arrest Valid Driver’s license Pass a Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test Complete Online Orientation

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Industrial Maintenance role Experience working and executing maintenance in a live Plant Team Player dedicated to delivering results Personal Commitment to safety Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manual to determine work procedures. Knowledgeable in types of industrial insulation
