AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dispatcher, Motor Vehicle in Ft. Irwin. The duties and responsibilities of the Motor Vehicle Dispatcher. The assignment of motor vehicles and drivers for conveyance passengers, and compiles lists of available vehicles. The assignment of vehicles is determined by factors such as length and purpose of trip, freight, or passenger requirements, and preference of user. Additional responsibilities include the issuance of keys, record sheets, and driver credentials. The Dispatcher records time of departure, destination, cargo, passengers, expected time of return and investigates overdue vehicles. The Dispatcher may confer with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise, maintain record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other expenses. The Dispatcher may modify daily route schedules to meet the requirements of missions. The Dispatcher may direct activities of drivers, assign helpers to drivers, and assign vehicles per request. The dispatcher is responsible for the distribution of vehicles to customers and the movement of equipment to vendors for repairs and maintenance. The Dispatcher shall be required to contact personnel for assignments and/or required information per the TMP Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • 2 – 5 Years of customer service experience.

  • Must have a Valid Driver License

  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record required

  • Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.

  • Strong communication skills, may deal directly with customers and LRC.

  • Professional phone etiquette.

  • Base and Biggs East familiarity.

  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

  • Schedule flexibility for a 24/7 operation.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.

  • Familiar with DOT regulation.
