Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Training Operations Planner / Coordinator to serve as AECOM’s Subject Matter Expert to coordinate and synchronize the training support to SWCS related matters. Applicant will be the principal point of contact responsible for coordinating and synchronizing training support to SOF operators and units. The applicant shall support AECOM’s efforts to provide specialized operations and training in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) in CONUS and OCONUS locations. Capable of speaking to large and small audiences from all military, non-military organizations and chains of command. Using prescribed methods and information supplied, prepares reports and studies to program documentation as it relates to a variety of SOF advanced training courses. Reviews final documents for conformity to requirements and completeness. Maintains management files. Attends meetings, design reviews, working groups and briefings. Reports issues and problems. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

A minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in the military of which fifteen (15) years must be in one or more United Sates Army SOF units/commands. Applicant must have a thorough knowledge of operational requirements associated with U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), and Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). Experience in providing oral and written communication and capability to deliver briefs and papers to Senior Executives, General Officers, and Flag Officers required. At least fifteen (15) years' operational experience in the doctrine, planning, design, development, implementation, execution, and technical support of Unconventional Warfare, Advanced Special Operations Techniques, Preparation of the Environment, Non-conventional Assisted Recovery, Personnel Recovery, Special Technical Equipment, surveillance, and intelligence activities. Performs routine assignments associated with the implementation of standard techniques, procedures and/or criteria as they apply to the technical or administrative discipline relating to the task. Must have program management experience in managing and directing functions for multiple, complex, and interrelated project tasks; formulating, reviewing, and approving task plans and deliverables; and hiring, managing, and evaluating contract personnel.

  • A minimum of fifteen or more years of experience in operations with SOF operational procedures within USASOC or Special Missions Units in the USSOCOM and/or the JSOC, with three (3) years of staff experience in Operations at battalion-level, or higher.

  • Graduate of the Advanced Special Operations Techniques Course.

  • Graduate from Special Forces Intelligence Sergeant's Course, or equivalent.

  • Graduate of the Army Basic Instructor Training Course, Special Operations Instructor Preparation Course, or equivalent.

  • Graduate from PR 303.

  • Graduate from SERE-C.

  • Experienced in surveillance operations.

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.

Special Skills:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.

  • Relevant experience in the past 12 months

  • Current or able to obtain TOP SECRET security clearance with the ability to gain SCI and Special Access Program eligibility.

  • Must have a valid state driver's license without any prior convictions for traffic violations (Last 5 Years).

  • Must be able to travel to various CONUS locations as directed.
