About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Travel Clerk I in Ft. Bliss, Tx. The duties and responsibilities of the Travel Clerk I is to perform transportation duties to facilitate government sponsored passenger travel. To support Personal Property Shipping office while supporting the Installation with Vendor Pay and Reimbursements in accordance with Defense Finance and Accounting Prompt Payment Act. Serves as a tier level team member in duties and tasks involving receipt, storage, issue and shipment of personal property. Performs various aspects of clerical work such as storage management, cataloging and property utilization. Coaches team members in the selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and techniques. Ensures that all duties are in accordance with the established regulations and operating procedures. Calculates personally procured move payment advances. Researches unique entitlements requirements and supplies a resolution.
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be Computer Literate
Must be familiar with Department of Defense Transportation and Travel Regulations
Must be familiar with aggressive Data Entry
Must be extremely Customer Focused
Must have the ability to multi-task
Must have the ability to brief small and large groups of people
Must be familiar with Joint Federal Travel Regulations
Must be familiar with Families First Business Rules
Must have verbal and written instruction
Must be familiar with Computer equipment/ software, phone, fax, copier and 10-key by touch
- Preferred candidates with travel clerk experience .
