About the Business Line
AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for an experienced for a Heavy Equipment Operator on our Fort Bliss Texas Eagle Contract. Supports assigned missions operating Heavy Equipment; Air, Rail, and Line Haul support movements. Performs daily Preventive Maintenance Checks (PMCS) on equipment prior to operation and at completion of mission task assignment or at end of work shift. Be able to support additional Unit Movement Branch tasks as directed.
High school graduate or equivalent is desirable.
1 – 3 year’s work experience operating heavy equipment required.
Must be able to obtain license following on the job training, operating each type of equipment required to operate one of several types of heavy equipment such as 10K or 12K Forklift, 50 Ton Rough Terrain Container Handler, 40 Ton Crane, Halverson Loader, and Lantis Loader.
Able to obtain license following on the job training, operating each type of equipment noted above.
Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Available to work different shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Performs other duties and additional duties as assigned.
Must be prepared to observe and practice all safety, security, and health requirements as per AECOM policies and standards.
Required to observe all safety and health requirements for office environment.
Must have a neat and professional appearance.
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively during a flexible scheduled work week.
Must be able to work in extreme environment conditions including dust, high, and low temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to various weather conditions.
