Job Summary

Provides communications support to include engineering, installation, and integration of equipment and facilities necessary to meet CTTR communication and video requirements. These requirements include Communications and RF design, test, and integration of microwave/UHF/VHF radio communication systems in applications including high speed/wideband data, voice, and radio transmissions. Must be experienced and knowledgeable in the areas of antennas and transmission line theory, component and systems design, project engineering and project management, systems integration, configuration management, documentation, and technical writing.

Systems Engineering and Project Management Requirements

Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies. Develop and apply advanced methods, and analytical techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and difficult system design requirements and problems. Conduct independent investigations of considerable complexity. Provide technical consultation to Operations and Maintenance, Information Assurance or customers. Serve as a Principal Engineer and individual contributor to assigned tasks, development, and integration and sustainment projects. Be able to plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant projects requiring the expert application of advanced knowledge. Direct interface for project management activity to other team members and customer at all levels from task initiation to final design including requirements identification, design reviews, test activities, and technical meetings. Maintain technical project responsibility for assigned tasks and advise management of progress in support of the technical and administrative elements throughout lifecycle of engineering process. Conduct site visits and experimental investigations; analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations. Acts as and is recognized as the Contractor expert resource on the most complex engineering problems. Support development of technical initiatives and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work. Review change requests and subsequent completion and implementation of systems additions and/or enhancements and recommends corrections based on technical application and analysis. Direct technical personnel in advanced troubleshooting and project assignments involving tasks, development, integration and sustainment of range systems or processes.

Use superior communications skills, both verbal and written, in day-to-day project activities as well as in briefing customers, writing reports and proposals. Develop, interpret, and implement technical and administrative policies and procedures. Perform other related duties and assignments as directed.

Cyber Security as it related to systems being deployed for the military. This includes making sure equipment meets the military requirements for being hardened against intruders, hackers, and outsiders trying to steal data and do harm. This includes Microwaves, Voice communications, Video services, Data transmission, and Tempest.


Minimum Requirements

A Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Five years’ related engineering experience
