About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Engineer within our water business to be based in the South West England.
The successful candidate will be responsible for technical design input on our portfolio of water utility projects which includes water and wastewater networks and treatment improvements. You will form part or our strong multi-disciplinary engineering team, delivering varied and interesting projects for local water industry clients.
The ideal candidate will have experience of similar project work in the UK water sector and be able to work proactively and collaboratively to solve engineering problems.
Experience of delivering H& S by design.
BSc, BEng, MEng or MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience of working within a team of mechanical design engineers on Water projects in the UK.
Ideally experience in electrical engineering concepts
Experience of world class quality systems.
Experience of developing mechanical designs, layouts, WIMES specifications, control philosophies, P&ID's.
Experience of delivering feasibility, outline and detailed design work within a team including CAD staff.
Working in multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience of medium to large water and wastewater treatment work projects. P removal project experience would be beneficial.
Chartered Member of IMechE, or working towards professional qualification
Experience of water and wastewater projects.
