Job Summary

The QA Representative role provides guidance and support for the development, implementation, communication and maintenance of quality systems policies and procedures for the project(s) according to the approved company quality system.

Ensure full awareness and compliance towards consistency of the AECOM systems and policies within the assigned project(s). Monitor and guide the site management teams regarding the IMS implementation, quality statistics (KPI and Trend reporting) and other quality related issues including Country Office and selected project auditing and selected root cause assessments (RCA). Provide support and guidance to the project management team to ensure project / client specific requirements are achieved. Promote the quality culture and visibly support the quality function/ethos and demonstrate appropriate behaviours.

This role can be assigned to a single major project or a set of similar projects depending on the scope of the individual projects. The Country Office tasks are shared across relevant QA Representatives as assigned by the Hub QA Lead.

Main Corporate QA Team services:

  • Providing system guidance and governance (incl. quality culture)

  • Monitoring for compliance, statistical reporting (KPI)

  • Performing internal audits and managing the third party certification audits

  • Provide the Quality Awareness Programme

  • Drive continual improvement (incl. root-cause investigations)

Job Duties

  • Responsible for ensuring quality is implemented within the assigned project(s) in a consistent manner, including the document referencing consistency in line with the provided corporate integrated management systems (IMS).

  • Responsible for providing guidance to the assigned project(s) on quality matters and system implementation especially during project start up, including assistance on the preparation of project quality/management plans and other quality related documentation and where needed assist with the further customisation of the quality management system as per the project / client specific requirements whilst ensuring compliance to the corporate management system, including any IMS updates.

  • Responsible for providing guidance to the assigned project(s) regarding monitoring and collection of data to be used for the monthly statistical reporting (KPI and Trend analysis) made by the project team and ensure timely delivery thereof to the Hub QA Lead and EMIA QA Administrator Team. This may also included KPIs set within the assigned corporate office.

  • Responsible for providing guidance to the assigned project(s) regarding system improvement and other amendments presented by the corporate office and monitor / report on the project management team’s adherence. Next to highlighting any new area specific elements affecting the IMS and present these to the Hub QA Lead immediately for EMIA review.

  • Responsible for assisting the project team with the execution of their internal project audit programme (and Country Office alike) and execute audits where needed on the assigned project(s) to ensure project requirements compliance next to compliance to the third party certification auditing requirements. Liaise with the Hub QA Lead regarding encountered auditing issues and identified elements for improvement.

  • Perform root-cause investigations as needed where process outputs and project deliverables are not achieved as required with reporting to the Project Manager and the Hub QA Lead for review.

  • Responsible for managing the implementation of the corporate quality awareness, inductions and trainings within the assigned project(s).

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong strategic management and organizational skills

  • Excellent working knowledge of industry practices/safety/quality management systems.

  • Excellent knowledge of management methods and specifications, including design control processes.

  • Experienced in statistical reporting including KPIs and trend analysis.

  • Ability to perform in a multi-cultural and time driven environment

  • Excellent communication skills using English Language (and local language as deemed necessary).

  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001 (latest version) and the implementation thereof, with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (latest version) as a plus.

  • Civil Engineering Degree or a related field, incorporating quality qualifications.

  • Be a positive, persuasive and thriving force to lead the assigned project teams and take appropriate and immediate actions where needed to ensure the objectives are achieved.

  • Have the potential and motivation to become a future project or discipline leader using the obtained quality system experience and quality culture from this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 (latest version) with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (latest version) a plus.

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and PMP a plus
