Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environment Data Coordinator for immediate employment in the Edmonton, AB office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with EQuIS Data Processor Software for Environmental Data Management on specialized environmental projects and environmental site assessments environmental compliance, monitoring programs and site remediation

  • This position is office based

  • Office duties would include importing data from the lab, tabulation and evaluation of data, analyzing project-specific data and outputting tables in Client specific templates

  • Having knowledge of Visual Basic programming specifically Access and writing code to apply project specific calculated guidelines

  • Implementation of eForms on tablet devices for field use

  • Regular communication with project staff and managers

  • Other responsibilities may include or extend to inputting borehole logs, mapping, preparing figures depending on experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field

  • 0-2 years of related experience

  • Programming experience specifically Visual Basic and Python

  • Database Management experience, specifically SQL

  • Must be proficient in Access and EQuIS

  • Must have good time management skills, a strong work ethic, and most importantly, a strong desire to learn

  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well in teams and get along with coworkers

Preferred Qualifications

  • ArcGIS, AutoCAD and gINT experience

  • Experience with Alberta Tier I and II guidelines

  • Chemistry/Environmental/Laboratory based background
