Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Closeout Specialist/Database Facilitator for immediate employment. In conjunction with closeout support, this position requires the ability to coordinate various functional area’s information technology efforts to maintain the integrity of the Federal Contracts and Procurement database, and ensure that the individual functional areas have the necessary information to prepare management reports.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining full accountability for the close-out, ensuring that, all contract file documents are properly tracked, validated and reconciled, including but not limited to validation of contract file completeness, product and/or service delivery, receipt, and acceptance research and analysis

  • Invoicing and payment research and analysis, de-obligation of excess funds and, drafting contract modifications as required

  • Processing Releases of Claims

  • Ensuring Government Property is accounted for

  • Establishing departmental procedures metrics and status reports

  • Implementing contract close-out standard operating procedures

  • Managing relationships between customer Contracting Officers’ Representatives and contract close-out staff ensuring issues are identified, elevated and adjudicated in a timely manner

  • Ensuring regular communication with Project/Contract Teams are established and maintained and reporting requirements are fulfilled

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in government contracting

  • Prior experience, planning, organizing, monitoring departmental initiatives progress and developing employees

  • Proficiency in use of various company and governmental databases including Oracle and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)

  • Expertise in using Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, and Word) products

  • Ability to develop solutions and train staff to use the software listed above, as well as any other programs or procedures related to government contract close out functions

  • Must possess effective organization skills

  • Must be a creative problem solver

  • Must be team oriented

  • Ability to prioritize and be successful in project management

  • Must be able to work well under pressure

  • Must possess strong leadership skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required
