Job Summary

AECOM's Design Consulting Services Group is hiring within our Transportation Business Unit and we are actively seeking a creative, highly talented CADD Technician/Survey for immediate employment in our Denver, CO office. Our surveying projects include mid to large transportation, land development, and mining projects which provides a wealth of challenging work.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work independently, think critically and proactively, and work efficiently in a team oriented fast-paced environment

  • Manage a wide range of responsibilities in a flexible manner

  • Assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project managers

  • Any other duties assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience in land development (deeds, land sheets, ROW)

  • Knowledge of CDOT drawing format and TMOSS coding system

  • Knowledge of Bentley MicroStation and InRoads

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and Bentley ProjectWise

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong interest in all phases of land surveying in the office and field

  • Desire to obtain a Colorado Land Survey Intern certificate and Professional Land Surveyor license (PLS)

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent in Land Surveying, Drafting, Engineering, Science, or associated discipline

  • Ability to read title abstracts

  • Proficient with MicroStation/InRoads and standard drafting practices as they are applied to the preparation of CDOT survey control diagrams and right of way plans

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel to create legal descriptions and tables for ROW plans

  • Proficient with ProjectWise to be able to check-out / check-in files as work progresses
