AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer for immediate employment in the DC office. AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive. In this role, entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM’s Graduate Development Program (GDP), a 2-year development experience designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and with creating a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare basic deliverables and products such as presentation materials, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates related to mechanical systems
Review applicable codes and criteria and examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects
Assist lead engineer in design tasks as required
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree
Familiar with HVAC ductwork and piping layouts and sizing; static pressure and pump head calculations; coordination with equipment vendors and other in-house disciplines; code compliance; and shop drawing review for mechanical systems
Familiar with ACAD and Revit
US Citizenship required
0 - 2 years of experience
Direct experience in Data Center, Health Care, Government facilities.
2+ years of experience (preferred but not required) working on projects that were executed using REVIT or a similar 3D BIM Product
