Job Summary

This position supports the Fighters & Bombers Directorate (AFLCMC/WW) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), Ohio as an Executive Administrative Support – Defense Travel System (DTS). Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides administration of the overall DTS system at the organization level and, as such, assist the base level Lead DTA with the overall DTS administration for the site. Maintains a working knowledge of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), DoD Financial Management Regulation, and DTS WPAFB Business Rules. Acts as a liaison between government banking entity and the DTS traveler. Serves as liaison between Commercial Travel Office (CTO) and traveler. Accomplishes Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) travel preparation in support of program meetings, reviews, audits and other activities held at U.S. Government and contractor facilities.

  • Provides knowledge and experience with the DTS. Updates and trains all F/B Directorate personnel on the usage of DTS. Performs the duties for the F/B Organization Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA), as well as assist in maintaining and creating member travel authorizations, orders, and vouchers as needed.

  • Serves as Tier I Helpdesk for the F/B Directorate resolving traveler questions/problems, and report any unsolved issues to the DTMO Travel Assistance Center through the DTMO Passport/Travel Explorer for closure. No single point of failure on Tier I Helpdesk – must be manned Monday-Friday during normal business hours (E.S.T) at all times.

  • Assigns DTS roles and permission levels. Creates, receives, detaches, and deletes users travel profiles. Establishes or oversees the organization routing structure for approving and certifying travel. Establishes new organization accounts when applicable.

  • Audits organization’s DTS profiles on a quarterly basis to ensure proper access rights and permission levels are enforced.

  • Maintains DD Forms 577, Appointment/Termination Record - Authorized Signature, and Certifying Officer Legislation training certificates with proper signatures for the organization’s Accountable and Reviewing Officials, and verify same on a quarterly basis. Collects and

  • protects Privacy Act Information to include mailing address, phone numbers, government travel card parameters, card number/expiration date, and banking information, etc.

  • Remains current on all DTS changes and attend DTS training.

  • Assists lower level Defense Travel Administrators (DTAs).

  • Ensures the DTS “Unsubmitted Voucher Report” is run and acted upon at least once a week. The Contractor shall run depart status report weekly to ensure travelers are ticketed.

  • Assists traveler with audit of government banking entity account against their DTS vouchers, when necessary.

  • Supports management of Directorate Government Travel Cards (GTC) by transferring new members into F/B hierarchy, increasing credit limit and cash advances, and monitoring and reporting on delinquencies and pre-suspensions.

  • Maintains and enters information into the Directorate’s In- and Out-Bound Processing database.

  • Updates and maintains the F/B Directorate Handbook for arriving Directorate personnel.

  • Establishes and maintains effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and customers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidate must have 10 years of experience.

  • Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the required level.

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other standard (Customer specified) application.
