Job Summary

This position will work for AECOM Hunt.

Responsibilities:

The Executive-in-Charge of and responsible for the day-to-day direction for an assigned group of projects and/or people. Performs all functions and responsibilities in partnership with the company’s culture, corporate vision, ethics and code of conduct. Will be responsible for the business development, recruitment, sales, precon services, and strategic planning for a specific market sector within the regional business unit.

  • Implement corporate policies, procedures and organizational structure for assigned operating unit within the framework of corporate policy.

  • Plan, staff and supervise all assigned work activities through subordinate managers to insure a cohesive operational unit.

  • Monitor and insure compliance of operational units’ short-term and long-range goals with overall corporate objectives.

  • Provide advice, guidance, and direction to subordinate executives and managers toward their professional development.

  • Develop and maintain liaison with prime clients and others to facilitate positive communications and trusting relationships.

  • Coordinate and confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems and difficulties, and authorize departmental operational procedures within corporate framework.

  • Primary profit/loss responsibility for assigned operational units.

  • Maintain positive financial posture for assigned division work segments and monitor cost analysis activities.

  • Initiate and maintain liaison with client and architect contacts to facilitate positive relationships and communication.

  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills and competencies to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.

  • Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the assigned group, the company, or as directed by the executive vice president, division manager or executive management team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Four year technical or business administration degree or equivalent plus extensive (15+ years) experience in the management of construction segments.

  • Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and company operations.

  • Knowledge of financial operations, marketing, estimating and employee relations.

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and analytical skills as necessary.
