Job Summary

The SH&E Administrator performs work under general supervision of a safety professional. Requires fundamental knowledge of SH&E concepts. Will spearhead efforts in updating internal and external databases, program SharePoint sites, responding to audits, preparing monthly reports, providing training and coordinating communications. Demonstrates ability to perform assigned SH&E duties and is knowledgeable of SH&E concepts, risks, and hazards. Performs moderately complex technical work utilizing instructions, results from tests, and monitoring of equipment, etc. May be involved in SH&E training and supervision of site technical personnel.

Essential Functions:

Database Entry and Maintenance

  • Creates and maintains database for tracking all statistics and training that is required by AECOM.

  • Reviews documentation to insure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures and, where necessary, suggest corrective actions and maintain records.

Training

  • Supports corporate safety program by coordinating and/or facilitating employee and safety orientation training programs, including but not limited to:

  • Life Guard

  • Industry Safe

  • Communicates with, and coaches, site personnel on means and methods for compliance and recording.

  • Assists with the development and execution of site-specific health and safety plans.

Coordination, Collection and Maintenance of OSHA Compliance Records

  • Works directly with AECOM HUNT personnel and subcontractors in soliciting data for compliance reporting and records maintenance.

  • Coordinates air sampling for OSHA compliance and compiles data for AECOM.

  • Records and reports site SH&E incident trends and assists in developing corrective action plans.

  • Compiles data dust abatement for AECOM.

  • Works with SH&E and Project Managers to document appropriate corrective action(s) for deficiencies discovered during site inspections.

Other

  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.

  • Assumes additional assignments/tasks to answer unique needs of construction management team or Regional Safety Director.

Minimum Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Occupational Safety, Business Administration, Accounting or related discipline plus one (1) or more years’ construction safety or managing database/office applications experience; OR equivalent combinations of experience, training, education and certification totaling 5+ years.

  • Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and company regulations or willingness and ability to learn.

  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

  • Highly skilled and experienced in data entry and database/spreadsheet maintenance.
