Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a qualified graphical artist to provide Computer Aided Drawing (CAD) support to the Q52 Surface Maritime Sensor group at our Dahlgren, VA location.

Duties will include creating/modifying drawings of US Navy vessels, antenna drawings, antenna components, test fixtures, and circuit boards. Will also be involved in creating/modifying production assembly drawings and antenna assembly notes/instructions.

Minimum Requirements

• Four (4) years of experience in computer graphic design.

• Demonstrated experience with computer graphic design software applications such as AutoCad, Adobe PhotoShop, geographic information system technologies, and MS PowerPoint.

• Good communications and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Ability to accept and respond to new emergent and unique project task requirements.

• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing to coworkers and team members as well as external entities/customers.

• Computer knowledge of programs, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office – Word, Excel; e-mail services.

• Position will require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. MUST BE ABLE TO QUALIFY FOR AN INTERIM SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE

Preferred Qualifications

Desired but not Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of military shipboard antenna drawings.

• Willingness to support additional areas of the group as needed including working in the fabrication lab and shipboard work (would require some travel).

• Ability to read and follow schematics and assembly drawings.
