Job Summary

Provide engineering, logistics and operations for simulation and tactical equipment in support of testing, debugging and analyzing various computer systems and interfaces across labs over distributed testing networks. Be familiar with test protocols that include standard Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) and Tactical Data Information Links (TADIL), these are in support of the Distributed Integration Interoperability Assessment Capability (DIIAC) and Joint Mission Environment Test Capability (JMETC) networks.

Minimum Requirements

Vocational/Technical school, Associates degree and at least 8 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Excellent communications and analytical skills; 5 Years' working knowledge with various Naval Combat Systems to include AEGIS and SSDS baselines, 5 Years' experience with Tadil-A, Tadil-J,JREAP-C, CEC and DIS. Will require DOD8570 IAT2certification, if not currently certified, applicant will need to acquire a IAT2 certification within the first year of hire. Experience with any CM process to include being familiar with all Microsoft office tools

The position may require the ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.

Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

The position may require travel.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Most positions involve work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting with occasional use of computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Some positions involve work in environments (e.g., shipboard, labs, outside locations, etc.) where mechanical equipment, weapons, etc. are being installed, tested, analyzed/monitored, operated, and/or maintained. Equipment may be loud and noisy or have exposed moving components. Such positions may involve routine lifting up to 50 pounds, regular handling, grasping, kneeling and carrying, and constant use of vision and mental alertness is required.
