AECOM is seeking an Application Systems Analyst to join the team. Candidate will provide support for integrated C3 operational and critical infrastructure decision system which correlating data from different data sources. Support end-user application of predictive and rapid event analysis for network and critical infrastructure planned and unplanned events.
Ability to understand the application and uses in detail; must acquire ability to fully understand what is happening during the analytical crunching and fully support end users and missions.
Train users – This requires the deep knowledge and understanding described above and verbal communication skills. Training is conducted in various venues, such as: large audiences, classrooms with trainee computers, one-on-one training at the desk, and on-line training via teleconferencing.
Write user documentation – Requires gaining the deep knowledge and understanding described above and excellent writing skills. Documentation includes several user-assistance products, such as user manual, quick-start guides, and process guides, so the writer needs to understand the user’s perspective.
Perform data entry - Requires acquisition of knowledge outlined above, coupled with a detailed and organized work ethic. Effective entering data including making associations between data elements in a manner that is correct and complete.
Work with users on the help desk – Requires troubleshooting skills that relies on the “systemic analytical capability” described above. The Help Desk Tier II must be able to figure out what is impacting a user on a remote system. Must be able to triage the problems and determine who can best resolve it if they are unable to resolve the issue with a remote user.
Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Arts, preferably with a sciences, mathematics, or engineering course work and 2 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
Good communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Position may require travel.
Position will require the ability to maintain a Security Clearance.
Help Desk experience
Willing to work off shifts
Basis programming experience
Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance Preferred
