About the Business Line
We provide professional services in areas such as aviation, transit, freight rail, highways and bridges, planning, and ports and marine. Our global network of top-tier specialists delivers comprehensive services over the full life cycle of a project to benefit clients in government and private industries.
Our Transportation team currently has a vacancy for a Rail Bid Coordinator with experience of co-coordinating bids, responding to prequalification questionnaires, developing and maintaining a bid library and managing a prospects database. AECOM are currently expanding their Rail Bid Team because of the high demand of prospects within the Rail Systems sector.
The successful candidate will have worked in a challenging environment, working to tight timescales and will have previous experience in coordinating tenders from Prequalification to ITT stages. They will have experience of working as part of a team supporting the production of tender responses, collating market intelligence and helping to maintain our rail bid library. The role would suit a self motivated individual looking to advance their career in a dynamic team.
The appropriate level of competency is required in order that the Job / Project Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standard:
Coordinating, production and administration of expression of interests, prequalification questionnaires and tender documents
Recording, monitoring and update of prospects on Salesforce database
Maintaining and enhancing the Rail Bid library
Managing the Go/No Go prospect review process
Assist in the production of marketing material
Setting up client meetings and material
Assist in the preparation of presentations
Assist in the production of rail sector reports making use of relevant AECOM software and tools
Establishing strong working relationships with other internal teams within AECOM’s transportation division
Take an active role in work winning, supporting business development activities including the development of Client relationships
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with experience of co-coordinating multi-disciplinary bids.
You will have experience with excel, word and powerpoint
You will have a flexible approach to supporting bids and business development activities across UK and Europe.
You will be able to produce neat and accurate reports
You will be able to think in a methodical way to assist in the administration and production of bids and maintaining the bid library
You will be highly motivated and personable
- It will be desirable if you hold a minimum of 2 A levels or higher qualification (or equivalent qualification)
