AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. GSS supports the U.S. Government, non-U.S. Governments and industry clients with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.

Job Summary

  • AECOM has an immediate need for two CAD Technicians to work with the US Navy’s Maritime Electronic Warfare Systems located at the Naval Support Activity in Crane, IN. Located in Southern Indiana, Crane offers a more rural environment while still being located within a one hour drive of major cities such as Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY.

  • The selected technicianswill provide Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and related services for Electronic Warfare systems, subsystems, equipment, and components. Work performed will be applicable to the following in-service systems or any new variant or upgrade of one of these systems or like systems that may be fielded in the future: AN/SLQ-32(V)6, AN/SLQ-32(V)7, AN/SLQ-59, AN/SLQ-62, or Airborne Off-board Electronic Warfare.

  • The selected technicians will have working knowledge of 3D CAD software packages, such as Creo (PRO E), Solid Edge, NX (Siemens) or equivalent. The technicians shall assist in the performance of manufacturing engineering and technology services related to the CAD, production engineering drawings, production process evaluation, drawing revisions, manufacturing process development and development of CAD models/media.

Requires the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Minimum Requirements

Associates Degree with two years of CAD Technician experience using Creo (Pro Engineer) or Solid Edge CAD software tools or a High School Graduate with four years of experience with the same CAD software tools. Adaptable and flexible to cope with the variety of responsibilities involved. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Able to communicate clearly and appropriately within the design team and internal/external stakeholders.

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications Active Secret clearance preferred
