Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented PM/CM Document Controls Coordinator for immediate employment. This position will report to the Cleveland, Ohio office however, the candidate will be physically located in Council Bluffs Iowa. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work directly under the supervision of existing AECOM personnel at the onsite client office in Council Bluffs and will be tasked with assisting in the preparation and organization of construction documents to better assist maintenance personal and meet any possible future expansion needs.

  • Research and verify accuracy and completeness of construction documents including submittals, O&M’s and As-Built Drawings.

  • Download construction documents from contractor managed sites and upload / organize documents per the client’s requirements using in-house databases.

  • Add metadata to the existing documents using client established methods to allow for better organization and search capabilities of the documents.

  • Represent the firm around the site and partner with staff members, management and other consultants to resolve problems accurately, smoothly and completely at a high standard

  • Present individual initiative on projects or needs in order to demonstrate engagement and commitment of the firm along with independence of problem solving.

  • Interact and communicate effectively with team members at an appropriate balance of listening and talking

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Understanding of the use and functionality of databases

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering Technology

  • 3+ years of experience in construction related document control

  • In depth understanding of construction related documents including specifications, submittals and drawings

  • Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets and Drive
