About the Business Line

Water

We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary

The AECOM South Florida Water Business is seeking a creative, highly talented Water/Wastewater Engineer for immediate employment in the Coral Gables office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Data management and processing using ESRI Arc GIS, SQL and Microsoft Access databases, as well as Microsoft Excel

  • Support of development, calibration, and application of hydrologic and hydraulic computer models for a variety of water, wastewater and water resource projects

  • Development of design drawings in AutoCAD or Micro Station in a collaborative environment through Project Wise

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on water resources or similar degree

  • 2+ years experience - candidates with Masters degree may enter at this level

  • Possession or ability to obtain a Florida EIT

  • Client focused service perspective

  • Experience in water, wastewater, stormwater, and water resources modeling related projects

  • Good analytical skills to interpret data and modeling results

  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams

  • Proficiency in design drawing software (i.e. AutoCAD )

  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS, more specifically in the 3D and Spatial Analyst tools and the use of Model Builder and Python coding language

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel with emphasis in Macros and Visual Basic programing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Engineering with focus on Water Resources

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral

  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
