The Design Services Consulting Group (DCS) of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance professional with a focus on support for the industrial/commercial/chemical business sectors for immediate hire in the Conshohocken (Greater Philadelphia Area), PA office The appropriate qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an intimate understanding of remediation, EHS compliance and auditing, relevant EHS permit package preparation, project management principles (including budget and finances, scheduling and proposal preparation), client management, report preparation, industry practices/standards, agency interaction, linear construction EHS practices, general OSHA safety standards, environmental agency reporting, excellent client/peer communication skills and a business development acumen. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team of engineers and scientists that are responsible for EHS compliance, reporting, permitting, safety compliance and environmental field sampling/monitoring in North America. This is a part-time variable position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide environmental health and safety compliance, EHS compliance auditing and project management services to private and public sector clients
Perform implementation activities for EHS compliance auditing, regulatory compliance, hazard communications, safety programs and environmental permitting/reporting for clients
Provide project management support to for various private and public sector client projects
Manages, organizes and responds to internal and external environmental and safety needs in support of AECOM's projects/clients in transportation, power, construction, industrial, remediation, and field services
Manage preparation of environmental plans, permits and reporting in accordance with USEPA and State requirements
Conduct business development activities to support sustainable Group growth
This position requires the flexibility to serve as a cross-disciplinary resource to best serve the needs of AECOM
Bachelors degree in geo-physics, safety, environmental science/engineering, biology, chemistry, geology or demonstrated equivalent
10+ years of professional experience in environmental, health and safety compliance/permitting related to private (commercial, industrial, power, oil/gas, rail and manufacturing) and public sector clients
Able to learn and effectively use environmental and safety monitoring equipment
Project management support experience is strongly desired
An understanding of USEPA and PA environmental regulations
Familiar with USEPA Resource Recovery Conservation and Recovery Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, US DOT HM-181, PADEP Act 2, PA Residual Waste, Stormwater and Tank Systems
Experience in multi-media auditing and compliance
Certified Professional Auditor certification is a plus
