Job Summary

The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Project Inspector (TET IV) for immediately employment; the employee will be assigned to the District 4 Office in Cockeysville, MD. This qualified Senior Project Inspector applicant will provide inspection support services to project location across MDSHA District 4

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees and Perform field inspections to monitor road conditions, bridges, road construction, and traffic, and material using in road construction and repair

  • Be able to act in the interest of the Project Engineer if he is not on the project

  • Participate in various meetings with the Contractor and MD SHA

  • Have a working knowledge of CPM schedule

  • Reviews construction, maintenance or traffic projects for compliance with project specifications and plans

  • Compile quantities and reviews construction reports and other data

  • Coach, mentor, and recommend training for staff

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • 5+ years’ experience with State DOT Transportation Projects focusing on the supervisory of construction inspection and contract compliance

  • Must have good communication skills; oral and written.

  • Basic computer skills; MS Office

  • Attention to detail

  • Organizational skills

  • Willingness to learn

  • Excellent time management skills; self-motivator, team oriented

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office program

  • Candidates will be required to achieve certification in the field testing procedures in concrete, soil aggregate, hot mix asphalt and National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification may be required

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
