Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer for immediate employment in the Clifton, NJ office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Under supervision of a Senior Electrical Engineer, develop and gain understanding of one-line diagrams, power, lighting and ground plans, estimating, medium and low voltage plans, and conduit routing plans

  • Assist in completing electrical engineering calculations and documentation packages, plans, sections and details for electrical design projects according to industry, client and company standards

  • Assist in development of electrical engineering documents and working with other engineers and designers

  • Learn and apply relevant codes and standards as required

  • Effectively interact within a multi-discipline team of architects, engineers and designers to meet project goals

  • Effectively manage time spent on multiple projects simultaneously

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • EIT or ability to obtain EIT

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to design in AutoCAD or Revit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit

  • Sustainability, resiliency and/or climate adaptation experience is a plus but not a requirement
