Position Title Roadway Department Manager

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented, and motivated Roadway Department Manager for immediate employment for the Chicago, IL office. Responsibilities will include the management of the Roadway department staff, oversight and management of active projects, and business development. Projects may include roadways/highways, bridges, utilities, and misc. facilities related to transportation or infrastructure projects for a range of prospective clients, including IDOT, ISTHA, CDOT, and other counties and municipalities.
Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegate assignments to subordinate managers
Reviews objectives to determine success of operation
Develops, modifies, executes company polices that affect immediate operations and may have company-wide effect
Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
Oversees the administration of projects including technical, financial, and client satisfaction
Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under his/her direction on a day-to-day basis
13+ years experience managing transportation projects
Professional Engineer license
Familiarity with IDOT, ISTHA, and local agency specifications, policies and procedures
Experience managing and supervising people
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
Professional Engineer license in IL
Computer proficiency in MS Word and Excel and PM software applications
Ability to proactively communicate and lead project teams
