About the Business Line
We address the complete spectrum of energy challenges, including clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency and carbon management, hydropower and dams, thermal, geothermal and wind power generation, and transmission and distribution.
We are currently looking for Senior Electrical Engineer to join our established Building Services team based in Nottingham. Our Chesterfield office is a multi-disciplinary unit numbering 275+ staff, which has a core Building Services Engineering group of 12 with remit to grow. Along with Building Engineering the office offers:
o Structural Engineering
o Civil Engineering
o Strategic Highways Consultancy
o Geotechnical Engineering
o Bridge design
o Transportation Consultancy
Some of our recent projects in the division include;
o Heathrow Airport – MACE: A 4 year framework delivering small to medium sized improvement projects landside and airside. (AECOM: Services Advanced Structures and MEP)
o Jaguar Landrover: New build distribution premises at Damson Parkway Solihull (Services MEP and Structural Engineering)
o Furness Vale Blue Light Hub: New build accommodation in Barrow in Furness. A fully fitted four berth Fire Station with accommodation for Police and Ambulance Services (Services Project Management, Architecture, C+S and MEP Engineering)
o Transport for London - TFL/CVU Framework: Old Street Underground Station Refurbishment and Imax Cinema sub-station relocation
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will be able to specify and design all manner of electrical related systems such as; lighting (internal, external, street and emergency), power (generation, HV/LV distribution, small power layouts and schedules), fire alarms, communication systems, lightning protection and written specifications. You would also be fully conversant with software packages supporting production of the designs/specifications such as; AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, Amtech, Dialux, Lighting Reality, NES Specification.

The ideal Senior Electrical Design Engineer would be/have:
• Qualified to degree level (in Electrical or Building Services), possess relevant professional membership (IET or CIBSE), preferably CEng
• Considerable design experience within a consultancy environment. Ideally a minimum of 5 years
• Able to demonstrate of experience of managing client projects from inception to completion
• Any MoD specific experience will be looked upon favorably but is not essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order for our team to continue providing an excellent service to our clients
