Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental Technician for immediate employment. This is a full-time position located on a client site at MCAS Cherry Point, NC.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work as a team with environmental and engineering staff, including other contractors, civil service, and active duty government employees to deliver high-quality services and products

  • Assist the Sr. Environmental Technician to Administer Hazardous Materials Management System (HMMS), including daily inventory creation, shelf-life management, authorized user list (AUL) maintenance, providing direction and oversight to program, data entry, reporting and other miscellaneous tasks involved in the support of client’s growing hazardous material consolidation program

  • Manage the primary program mailbox by completing HCP related user requests

  • Responsible for taking initiative to continually improve program

  • Complete specific tasks as directed by on-site manager

  • Ability to attain a Department of Defense (DOD) Common Access Card (CAC)

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 6+ years of experience

  • Or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience

  • Experience with materials tracking databases

  • Advanced experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Primarily Outlook, Excel, and Access)

  • Effective time-management, written communications skills, and analytical skills

  • Articulate with professional presence and appearance

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Microsoft Access experience desired

  • Strong organizational skills desired
