Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Mid-Level Landscape Architecture for immediate employment in the Chelmsford, Massachusetts office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects. The Landscape Architecture portfolio includes a broad range of multidisciplinary public and private realm projects, such as streetscapes, campus design, transportation, green infrastructure and ecological/remediation restoration. The candidate will work closely with our in-house project design teams; project landscape architects, engineers, planners, environmental scientists, architects and designers to design and assist in the execution of projects within the New England and Northeast region.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform technical design work of landscape architecture group

  • Perform construction administration for current and future projects

  • Prepare construction documents and specifications, cost estimates, and hand and computer drawings (including renderings and illustrative presentation boards)

  • Project management and coordination

  • Participate at client and agency meetings

  • Assist in mentoring and developing the skills of junior landscape design staff

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to effectively manage time and self-edit work

  • Proficiency and passion for creating compelling design, with an ability to develop the work through the technical design phases

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Demonstrated production and digital rendering experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch-Up

  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field

  • Licensed Landscape Architecture or ability to obtain

  • Construction administration experience/background

  • Experience in Micro-Station, Vectorworks, In-Design, or ArcGIS

  • Strong knowledge/interest in plant materials

  • LEED or SITES Certification
