About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM is currently seeking science and engineering/construction professionals to work on projects in New England and New York.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Environmental field compliance and construction oversight with focused on FERC regulated natural gas pipeline projects, relating to working in and near wetlands and water bodies
Serve as a full-time Environmental Inspector
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology/Wetlands Science or related field, along with demonstrated experience implementing and monitoring environmental permit conditions in a construction setting
4+ years of professional environmental inspection/monitoring of linear construction projects
Experience with FERC BMPs and inspection protocols
Technical background and training in wetlands science/delineation and restoration
Ability to work long hours (with paid overtime) in a construction environment and some weekends is needed, as well as the ability to be located proximal to a project with per diem provided
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of a larger team
Certifications as Certified Erosion Control Specialist, PWS, etc.
US citizenship required
Certification as CPESC, CESSWI, or PWS
Experience with automated inspection reporting
Background in Massachusetts, Connecticut and/or New York natural resources regulations, especially water resources as it relates to linear infrastructure projects
