Position Title Environmental Inspector/Wetland Scientist

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Inspector/Wetland Scientist for employment in the Chelmsford, MA office.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a full-time Environmental Inspector on projects in New England and New York
Environmental field compliance and construction oversight with focused experience on FERC regulated natural gas pipeline projects
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology/Wetlands Science or related field
8+ years of environmental construction inspection/monitoring
Certifications as Certified Erosion Control Specialist, PWS, etc. required
OSHA 40-hour trained, with strong health and safety awareness
Working knowledge of New York and New England regulations
Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work well as part of a project team and ability to travel
Must be able to be stationed at or proximal to project site
Prior experience with FERC BMPs and inspection protocols required
Technical background and training in wetlands science/delineation and restoration required
Ability to work long hours (with paid overtime) in a construction environment and some weekends is needed, as well as the ability to be located proximal to a project with per diem provided
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to work as part of a larger team a must
Prior experience with automated inspection reporting
- Background in Massachusetts, Connecticut and/or New York natural resources regulations, especially water resources as it relates to linear infrastructure projects, is preferred
