About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.
AECOM is seeking a qualified and highly motivated Architectural Designer for immediate employment in the Chelmsford, MA office to work within the Water/Wastewater AE Design Center.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Support the Architectural Dept. with the layout and design of water and wastewater treatment facilities
Develop architectural plans, elevations, section and details, as needed
Coordinate with the project architects and other in-house engineering disciplines as needed
Assist in the development and maintenance of standard details
Stay current with new software developments (i.e., BIM, Revit, etc.)
Other assignments that may require the application of standard architectural design techniques, criteria and procedures
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
5+ years of architectural designer experience
Detail-oriented and technical and able to see the big picture
Ability to be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Ability to meet quality, schedule and budget expectations
Excellent AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit Skills
Experience with AutoCAD Architecture, Revit, Adobe Photoshop
7+ years of architectural designer experience
Experience in the design and construction of water/wastewater facilities or other industrial and commercial type facilities
