AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Structural Engineer for immediate employment in the Charleston office. It is required that the candidate have experience in the design of Experience preparing conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs of marine structures projects as part of an integrated team of port planners and engineers.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide structural design and assistance regarding site selection, design, drawings, and specifications for Port and Marine waterside infrastructure including piers, wharfs, jetties and quay walls, as well as Bridge Structures for local and State Departments of Transportation
Provide a wide range of professional structural engineering services and technical consultation for the delivery of safe, secure, and fully functional facilities in South Carolina and within the Southeast Region
Apply accepted conventional design methods and solutions
Apply the latest design methodologies and theories to novel problem solving situations not readily resolved through accepted conventional methods
Contribute and affect the content, interpretation, or development of design policies concerning varied design and construction projects
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
2+ years of experience in structural design
Professional Engineer License
Able to use industry design software including structural design programs, and Microstation
Working knowledge of related structural and civil engineering disciplines
US citizenship required
Master’s Degree in Engineering
Seismic Design Experience
