Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our team in the Washington, D.C. area!

The Senior Program Manager will oversee the staff and activities of an IT service program or programs providing IT Infrastructure, services and technical assistance for Federal Civilian and DoD Agencies, state and commercial customers.

On a day-to-day basis provides leadership and direction to a team of

information technology professionals and engages in key decisions relative to technology,

staffing, securing and use of resources, training, overall direction of work and development of new work. Utilizing an extensive background in IT Enterprise Management and Project Management skills, the Senior Program Manager will plan, implement, and monitor the activities of staff representing numerous technical disciplines.

The Senior Program Manager will utilize knowledge of federal contracting and associated corporate requirements to navigate complex company processes in order to successfully recruit personnel,manage subcontractors, and will have responsibilities for P&L and business development, Capture and Proposal development and authoring related to the supported programs and growth in assigned business areas.

The Senior Program Manager interfaces with government personnel at the senior level to assure satisfaction with performance.

The Senior Program manager is responsible for identifying and qualifying new client requirements and formulating solutions that represent large new business and/or follow-on opportunities. The Senior Program Manager will contribute technically to the development of technical and service solutions for customer delivery.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s and 15 years job related experience or equivalent. Must have experience in leading teams. Experience should include technical IT disciplines related to Project Management and Cybersecurity, culminating in successful management of organizations of similar size of program.

Technical and management background should include hands on experience with several of the following:

• responsibility for leading large teams

• overall understanding of networks and critical applications

• aware of emerging technologies and how to integrate these capabilities into an existing infrastructure

• understanding of Service Desk operations

• IT solution development

• experience presenting training materials and guides

• hands-on with best practices related to federal IT management, such as Change Management, ITIL and SDLC

• hands-on management of federal contracting programs

• delivery of focused IT customer service

• management of large, multi-disciplinary staff

May be required to obtain/maintain a security clearance, current DOE clearance preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP trained and other technical certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, ITIL or CISSP strongly preferred
