Job Summary

This position is for a security professional to strategically partner with fellow security professionals, technical staff, and functional counterparts. Individual must possess a detailed working knowledge of the NISPOM and associated Supplements, ISL’s, as well as related customer directives. Knowledgeable of DOD and IC regulations, directives, policies and practices. Candidate must be skilled with JPAS, EQIP, clearance processing and information security management systems, e.g., SIMS, or Access Commander.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Implement a personnel security program that is compliant with the contractual requirements of AECOM’s broad customer base that includes the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense and numerous other federal civilian agencies.

  • Intimate familiarity with NISPOM (DoD 5220.22-M), and related supplements and ISL’s.

  • Expert personnel security management experience (initial, renewal, periodic reinvestigation, upgrade, downgrade, indoctrination, debriefing, etc.) for collateral, SCI and Public Trust positions.

  • Process security clearances; conducting trainings / indoctrination briefings / debriefings; process incoming/outgoing visit requests and certifications; maintain the personnel security database and prepare management reports as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Position requires an active and current DoD Secret Security Clearance

  • Working knowledge of JPAS and other security software required in the performance of duties (e.g. ACAVS, JPAS, ISFD, eFOCI, eFCL, eQIP).

  • Must maintain required certifications to access JPAS

  • Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) and 1-3 years of operational security experience

  • Position may require travel

Required Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of DoD and various IC clearance processing procedures

  • Fully knowledgeable of DoD and IC regulations governing personnel security

  • Fully proficient in the use of JPAS, e-QIP, SWFT, MSOffice, and Access Commander/SIMS/ or similar security management database.

  • Solid command of the English language with strong written and verbal skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Ability to use discretion when handling sensitive personal information.
