Job Summary

The Defense Information Services Network (DISN) Subscription Services (DSS) Analyst will perform fundamental business analyst functions for the Naval Circuit Management Office (NCMO). Reviews US Navy (USN) circuit data within Government owned databases and validates requirements; performs basic Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures; interfaces with other government entities (i.e. DISA) on behalf of the USN. Duty location is customer site at the NCMO, located at the Joint Staff Suffolk Complex in Suffolk, VA. Duties include:

  • Reviews and validates USN circuit data within Government owned databases

  • Provides portfolio management support for all USN DISN-IS circuits

  • Analyzes large amounts of data and produce key reports for management

  • Evaluates software applications and associated documentation

  • Provides USN support for the DISA IPT-PE equipment and circuit migration; support includes:

  • Serves as the NCMO MPLS Action PoC for facilitating and tracking IPT-PE pre-site survey's/site survey dates

  • Serves as the liaison between USN PoCs and DISA for all inquiries pertaining to the project

  • Ensures that all USN circuits migrate off of legacy equipment to MPLS

  • Performs QA/QC functions as directed and participates in formal and informal reviews of software applications and documentation

  • Validates Wide Area Network (WAN) USN/USMC Telecommunication Requests (TR's) to ensure orders conform to current policy, are technologically sound, financially prudent, and provides visibility to the Director of the NCMO

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance

  • Ability to apply fundamentalconcepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience, and 0 to 2 years of related experience.

  • Dept. of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8570 applicable certification (i.e. Security+)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Access and Excel

  • Proficient in SharePoint
